A rural home in a wooded setting

Residential Wells

Out of range for city or rural water systems? Off grid and looking for a way to stop hauling water?

Drilling your own well is one of the foundational steps towards preparing your home site for a build, or making your off grid homestead feasible long term.

Well Drilling Process

Well drilling with Summers follows these steps:

1. Site Evaluation

We scout out the perfect spot based on elevation, geology, and proximity to potential contaminants like septic tanks.

2. Drilling

We'll send one of our drilling rigs to your property and start boring.

3. Installing the Casing

A steel or PVC pipe is placed into the borehole to prevent collapse and protect the water supply.

4. Grouting

We seal around the casing to prevent surface contaminants from entering.

5. Well Development

We run a flush cycle to remove debris and fine materials and determine the water yield of your well.

6. Pump Installation

We recommend the right size and fit for your new well's depth and specific characteristics.

7. Testing and Final Cap

Finally, we test for bacteria and minerals, and seal the well for safety.
